Updated review: I received a letter today from the CEO of the company apologizing for their mistake and making things right for me. I really appreciated the sincere apology, not making any excuses and just taking ownership of my issue, and based on his letter and response I feel like the issue I was having was probably a rare occurrence and they do indeed strive for good customer service. As I said originally, the Precision Pro products are very good quality and given the letter and apology I received today I would buy from them again.Original review: The actual product is really nice. It grabs the pin pretty easily and produces consistent, accurate, yardage. The magnetic holder is really strong. Part is the Precision Pro “value” was free lifetime battery replacement. I liked the product and the idea of free batteries so much I bought 2.Now come time to order that free battery. The ordering process was quick and easy. On July 25 (the weeks from the day of this review) I ordered. So far, no battery, it’s not even shipped as far as I can tell, I’ve tried to get customer support multiple times. One time I asked for help on my order and their response was simply “click this link to order a battery”. Several other times it’s been “we’re sorry. The other is now shipped. Check your email for status.” And as you may have guessed, that status still says it isn’t shipped. Last interaction I was told it’s a warehouse problem. So, I’ve all but given up on getting the battery. I realize the battery is probably $8 and I can just get one on my own, but don’t offer it if you aren’t going to follow through. I would advise anyone that might want to buy this that if their customer service can’t handle a request as simple as “where is my very simple order” then consider what it might be like if you had a bigger problem….

My first laser rangefinder, is the Precision Pro NX7. I have been using top brand golf GPS yardage finders for over 15 years. As a contact lens wearer I have not had much success or comfort with products like a camera, telescope, even early model rangefinders that require looking through a scope to see your subject; issues with getting and/or keeping a clear focus on the subject, etc. which is why I used a GPS system. After reviewing many brands and price points on the market, I took a “chance” with the somewhat unknown (to me) NX7 and have never looked back or regretted my choice. This is a great, compact and solidly built product easy to use and store after a round of golf or practice. It has an adjustable viewing lens allowing each user to clearly focus according to their vision one time and lock in on the target every time, which I find a big plus for one who wears contacts or glasses. My other concern with laser rangefinders versus GPS was my ability to hold it steady enough to not only get a read but an accurate read. The NX7 is one of the lightest laser rangefinders I tested and because of that, it’s size and state-of-the-art technology to lock in on targets, I have not experienced target reading or accuracy issues in windy conditions or when I had unstable hands.I have found greater versatility using the NX7 for pinpointing different targets on the golf course that might not be indicated with a GPS; during practice hitting balls to specific targets knowing the precise distance; testing the accuracy of how far I hit each club. With the company satisfaction and performance guarantee backing, not to mention the great price,I did not see buying the NX7 as a risk. If you are looking for a top of the line laser rangefinder you should give the NX7 a test. I’m in my second golf season with the NX7 and look forward to having it in my golf bag.

This range finder is very clear and bright! Picks up the flag quickly with pulse indication and is very accurate. Love it! The magnet works great as well! Highly recommend!

Seems to work great. quick, accurate , price is right. as good as the bushnell , possibly better. let’s see ho0w it hold up.

I already own a Bushnell Tour V4 non slope version and am happy with that unit. I purchased this Precision Pro NX7 Pro with Slope during an Amazon Prime Day sale because I always wanted a rangefinder with slope. For this review I will refer to the Precision Pro unit as NX7 and the Bushnell unit as V4.Comparing the build of the units, the assembly quality of both units is good. The NX7 does use cheaper material and it is noticeable in the feel, but this is not a deal breaker – it is nicely made. The NX7 is lighter in weight and feels good in my hands. It comes with a very nice case that rivals the V4 case.Comparing the function of the units, Bushnell users will have to make a small adjustment. For the NX7, you push the button and let it go and the unit will scan until it locks onto the target. On the Bushnell units, it requires you to hold the button down until the units locks onto the target. It is a minor adjustment and not a deal breaker either. The performance is really where you will notice the difference, and it is here where you see the difference in what you pay for. I normally wear glasses so being able to see through the eyepiece is a concern. With the V4, I have no problem viewing the entire screen and its information. With the NX7, the eye relief on the rear optic is a little short. In order to get a decent view, I must move it around until I can see most of the information in the viewfinder, but I was never able to see the entire screen like I could with the V4. So, the NX7 is not the friendliest for eyeglass wearers as compared to the V4.As for getting measurements, with the V4, the unit will vibrate when it locks onto the flag on the pin. If it locks onto anything else but the flag, it will give you a reading but, it will not vibrate. Three samples on the same hole yielded the exact same yardage reading. With the NX7, it will vibrate when it locks onto a target, but it is not necessarily the flag. On the same hole as I used for the V4, I needed to take 5 sample readings because I got different readings. For the V4, I got 128 yards on all three measurement attempts. With the NX7 I got 127, 126, 224, 225 and 224 again. Although the secondary reading was off, it was consistent with each other, and I have no idea what it was locking onto. The NX7 vibrated all five times. This happened on a few of the other holes on the course. Fortunately, the two sets of measurements were far enough apart that it was not difficult to decide which one to use.If you are in the market for a rangefinder, but do not want to spend the money for any of the Bushnell or similarly high-priced units and you are willing to sort through which measurements to use, then the NX7 by Precision Pro is a good choice. I am not going to return mine because I am willing to put up with it so I can have the slope readings. Would I buy it again? If I do not want to spend the money on a Bushnell, yes. I gave it five stars to rate it with other lower cost rangefinders. If I rated it against one of the more expensive units, that would not be fair. That would not be comparing apples to apples. Would I recommend it to a friend? I would, but I would make sure they understand what to expect to get the measurements they want.

Very accurate and easy to useI like that this distance finder also provides for slope and uses batteries instead of rechargeable.

  7. Anna R. Ray

Quick and accurateThis is an excellent and easy to use rangefinder. I’ve had zero issues with pin seeking and the accuracy seems spot on. Personally, I would prefer the yardage to be displayed more centrally on the screen but this doesn’t detract from the ease of use.

  8. Paige

Great range finderVery easy to use works very well for your money

  9. N.S

.Came as advertised. Great and shipped on time.

  10. Amazon Customer

Great ValueEasy to use, accurate, quick and love the magnetic side so that I can stick onto the buggy during play.
